About Our Program

The Medical Assistant Program at KKHTC offers comprehensive training for individuals aspiring to become skilled Medical Assistants. Combining theoretical coursework with hands-on clinical experience, this program equips students with the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to thrive in healthcare settings. Students will be trained in a wide range of administrative and clinical procedures, including medical office management, phlebotomy EKG administration, basic patient care techniques, and laboratory procedures. Medical Assistants play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of healthcare facilities, assisting physicians, podiatrists, chiropractors, and optometrists by performing routine administrative duties and providing direct patient care. This program is designed to prepare students for diverse career opportunities in hospitals, clinics, and private practices, enabling them to deliver high-quality patient care, support healthcare professionals, and seamlessly manage medical office operations. Graduates will be well-prepared to enter the workforce with confidence, embarking on a rewarding career in the ever-growing healthcare industry.

Program Outline

This program consists of 480 hours of clock time, including 320 instructional hours (220-hour lecture, 100-hour lab) followed by a 160-hour clinical in local outpatient clinics for a total of 480 hours.

Prerequisites/Requirements

Prerequisites

  • Must be at least 18 years of age. proof of age is required (acceptable documentation: passport, birth certificate, license or state ID)

  • High school diploma or its equivalent.

  • Must understand, speak, read and write english.

  • Must pass the pre-entrance competency examination (a test of reading and comprehension) with a minimum score of 80 percent(you must call to register for the pre-entrance exam)

  • After passing the entrance exam, each student will complete a registration form. a $100.00 deposit, which will be required to hold seat, applied toward tuition)

Clinical Requirements 

  • CORI Acknowledgment Form

  • COVID-19 - primary vaccine series

  • Tuberculosis Screening

Costs

Fee:  $5,700

*A $100 deposit is required to register for the program

Enrollment Process

Enroll in Person

  1. Review the Prerequisites/Requirements above.

  2. Visit K&K Healthcare Training Center's Main Office located at: 471 Prospect Street, Brockton MA, 02301​​

  3. Pass the English Language Comprehension Exam with a minimum of 80%

  4. Complete and submit the Application Form and upon acceptance to the program complete the Enrollment Agreement Form
