The Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide Dual Program at K&K Healthcare Training Center covers vital skills such as monitoring vital signs, assisting patients with mobility and positioning, providing basic personal care, mastering the art of bed-making, assisting with bathing and feeding, maintaining accurate records, and responding effectively to emergencies. Our program blends classroom instruction and hands-on practical training, all conducted in our DPH-approved facility. Additionally, you'll gain valuable clinical experience by completing hours at a reputable long-term care facility, under the guidance of our experienced Registered Nurse instructors. Nurse Assistant Certificate

The Nursing Assistant Program is a comprehensive and hands-on training initiative designed to equip students with essential skills and knowledge required to provide quality care to patients in various healthcare settings and prepare for the Massachusetts state board examination to become a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA). Through a combination of classroom instruction, simulations, and supervised clinical experience, participants learn fundamental nursing techniques, including vital signs monitoring, personal care assistance, and infection control measures. 

Home Health Aide

This program provides comprehensive instruction on essential caregiving tasks, including assisting with daily activities, medication management, and maintaining a safe and comfortable living environment. The curriculum combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice, ensuring students are well-prepared to meet the unique challenges of home-based care.

Prerequisites/Requirements

Prerequisites

  • At least 16 years of age within 3 weeks of the clinical start date.

*Must have parent/guardian's signed permission if under the age of 18

  • Applicants are required to demonstrate 8th-grade reading, writing, and speaking levels.

Clinical Requirements 

  • CORI Acknowledgment Form

  • COVID-19 - primary vaccine series

  • Tuberculosis Screening

Enrollment Process

Enroll in Person

  1. Review the Prerequisites/Requirements above.

  2. Visit K&K Healthcare Training Center's Main Office located at: 471 Prospect Street, Brockton MA, 02301​​

  3. Pass the English Language Comprehension Exam with a minimum of 75%

  4. Complete and submit both the Enrollment Form and Agreement Form
